Terms of Service (ToS)

Rules for using the Packet Dominance portal and game worlds

Version of October 14, 2026

1. Purpose and access

These terms of service (ToS) apply to the www.packetdominance.com portal and to the Packet Dominance game worlds (such as world01.packetdominance.com). Packet Dominance is an online strategy game, played in the browser, in which each player builds a fictional telecommunications operator.

The site is published by a private individual, whose identity is given in the legal notice (hereinafter “the publisher”). Access to the game is free and no payment is requested. By creating an account, you accept these ToS.

2. Minimum age

The game is reserved for people aged at least 15. This is the age from which a person can consent alone to the processing of their personal data in France (article 45 of the French “loi Informatique et Libertés”). By signing up, you declare that you are at least 15 years old. An account opened by a younger person may be deleted as soon as the publisher becomes aware of it.

3. Your account

You undertake to provide an accurate email address that belongs to you, and to keep it up to date: it is used to recover access to the account and to confirm its deletion.

Your account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password and your API access key confidential, and for the actions carried out with your account. If you believe a third party has accessed it, change your password and notify the publisher.

4. Game currency and assets

The game's credits (GC), companies, infrastructure and all game assets are fictional and have no real value. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged for money or any real good, or withdrawn from the game. Any real-money transaction involving an account or game assets is prohibited.

The game's rules and balance may change, and a world may be reset. These changes give no right to any compensation.

5. Rules of conduct

You undertake to respect other players and the law. The following are prohibited in particular: hateful, insulting, defamatory, discriminatory, violent or sexual remarks, and any illegal content; harassment; impersonation; publishing other people's personal data; spam and unsolicited advertising.

Also prohibited are cheating, deliberately exploiting a bug instead of reporting it, using automated tools other than the official API and MCP server, and any attack on the servers (intrusion, denial of service, circumvention of limits). Attacks provided for by the game rules, between game companies, remain permitted.

6. Content published by players

You are responsible for the content you publish: username, avatar, company names, private messages, chat, decrees and Packet Mail emails. It must comply with the rules of conduct and with the rights of third parties (trademarks, copyright, image rights).

Usernames, avatars, company names and decrees are visible to other players, and some are displayed on the portal. You authorize the publisher to store and display them solely for the operation of the game.

7. Reporting and moderation

Anyone, whether a player or not, can report content or behavior they consider unlawful or contrary to these ToS, using the in-game “Report” button or by writing to the single point of contact: contact@vincentbenjamin.fr. This point of contact also serves the authorities; it answers in French or English. A useful report specifies the content concerned (where it is, its author, its date) and why it is a problem.

Reports are examined diligently and objectively by the publisher, without automated decision-making. The person who made the report is informed of the action taken if they left their contact details.

Depending on the seriousness and repetition of the facts, the publisher may remove or hide content, suspend the account for a limited period, or close it permanently (ban). In an emergency (manifestly unlawful content, threats, attacks on the servers), the measure may be taken immediately. Where the law requires it, in particular in the event of a threat to a person's life or safety, the publisher notifies the authorities.

Every moderation decision is reasoned: the person concerned receives by email the measure taken, the facts and the rule at issue, and the available means of appeal. They may challenge the decision by replying to that email or by writing to contact@vincentbenjamin.fr; their challenge is reviewed and receives a reasoned answer. They retain the right to bring the matter before a court.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time, without having to give a reason, from the game settings or from the portal's “Data Deletion” page. To prevent a third party from doing so in your place, deletion only takes place after you click the confirmation link sent to the account's email address. This link is valid for 24 hours and can only be used once.

Deletion is permanent: your companies are dissolved, your infrastructure is dismantled, your account balances return to the game's Central Bank and your personal data is erased. The game's accounting history is kept in anonymous form, with no link to you, so that other players' accounts remain accurate.

An email confirms the deletion to you. If it cannot be carried out automatically, the publisher handles it personally within one month at most.

9. Suspension and closure by the publisher

The publisher may suspend or close an account that does not comply with these ToS, following the procedure described in section 7. The publisher may also interrupt the service for maintenance, or shut down a world or the service, notifying players in advance where possible.

10. Liability

The game is provided free of charge, as is, by a private individual. The publisher does their best to make it work properly, but cannot guarantee the absence of interruptions, bugs or loss of progress. Since game credits and assets have no real value, their loss gives rise to no compensation.

The publisher is not responsible for content published by players, unless they fail to act promptly after being informed of its manifestly unlawful nature. Nothing in these ToS limits the rights you hold under the law.

11. Intellectual property

The texts, images, logos and the Packet Dominance brand belong to the publisher or to their respective authors. You may share screenshots and videos of your games. Any other reproduction requires permission. Map backgrounds and other elements provided by third parties are subject to their own licenses.

12. Personal data

The processing of your personal data, your rights and how to exercise them are described in the privacy policy.

Read the privacy policy

13. Changes to the ToS

These ToS may change, in particular to follow the law or changes to the game. The version in force and its date are shown on this page. In the event of a significant change, you are informed in the game or by email before it takes effect; if you do not accept the new version, you can delete your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

These ToS are governed by French law. If a problem arises, first write to contact@vincentbenjamin.fr to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute is brought before the competent French courts; if you are a consumer, you may also apply to the court of your place of residence.
